Helping you see yourself… so others can, too.
Hello! I’m Embry. I’m a storyteller and digital strategist with 10+ years of experience across corporate editorial, freelance consulting, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Funnily enough, this business started as a job hunt. I was looking for in-house strategy roles and came across a lot of interesting companies. But when I went to do research for cover letters and interviews, I noticed these brands weren’t always telling their story in a way that was designed to resonate with consumers.
They focused heavily on the mission, the founder story, the heart behind the brand — all wonderful, differentiating aspects we want to bring forward. But when it came to their unique value proposition to the customer, they often weren’t seeing their distinct position in the market or speaking to their audience in the language of their needs… and they were seeing a lag in conversions as a result.
My goal is to help bridge that gap: to unearth your blind spots and sharpen your positioning through high-level brand strategy that trickles down into copy and content. I offer both short-term sprints (ideal for a rebrand at the level of messaging) and ongoing retainers (designed to help you build and scale a content ecosystem across platforms).

In Their Words

"Of all the gifted writers I have had the pleasure of working with in my editorial career, Embry remains amongst the select few whose work and integrity stand above the rest. I relied on Embry, a seasoned wordsmith, daily to finesse and elevate the vision of my team — a task she easily rose to. Beyond her writing abilities, I have seen her lead teams and manage projects with the utmost attention and care. Her colleagues, myself included, value her as a collaborator, a partner, and most importantly, a friend. In today's highly competitive corporate hierarchy, talent alone is no longer enough. You need a team member whose self-motivation, leadership, and humor push her team to success. Embry is both."

“I hired Embry to write my bios. After a phone interview, she provided me with a draft. It was different from my own perception, but I soon realized it was perfect, the ACTUAL direction I was looking for but hadn’t considered until she put it together. Great experience, will use her again on future projects.”

“Embry is a gifted writer and editor who can make stories sing across Editorial, Branded, and Social platforms. At NBC's Content Commerce, she was responsible for managing the daily output of content on the web, as well as email newsletters. Whether ideating topical stories or themes with a hook or assigning and editing freelance writers, Embry is a true professional who brings energy and precision to her role as our internal "writer-in-chief." On the strategy side, Embry crafted the POV and copy tone of commerce entities as diverse as Golf and Bravo. She also scripted the "Bar for the Course" video series, as well as our campaign commercials. This is the second time that I have worked with Embry, having also worked at Martha Stewart. I highly recommend her abilities as a true professional and teammate.”

“I have known Embry for years and have always admired her writing abilities; she has an innate talent and her storytelling skills have only grown with her professional roles writing for different audiences. I reached out to her about getting feedback on my MBA application package, and her editing and suggestions brought my writing to a whole new level. She not only knew how to make my delivery sharper and more impactful, but also prompted me to rethink a few sections to better reflect my authentic self. I highly recommend her if you're looking to better vocalise a brand or product, whether for yourself or a larger company.”
